Post Office Thefts: Police Warn Residents To Stop Mailing Checks In This Westchester Village

Following a series of post office thefts, police in a Westchester municipality are warning residents to avoid mailing checks.

Thefts are occurring both inside and outside post offices in Mamaroneck, police said.

In an announcement on Wednesday, June 5, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department advised residents to stop mailing checks at their local post offices.

The warning follows thefts from both the inside and outside of post offices, the department added.
